Filming in England celebrates and unites the regions’ leading professionals and businesses across the screen industry.
Hosted at Bristol Beacon and delivered by Creative England – Filming in England, in Partnership with Bristol Film Office and The Bottle Yard Studios, with support from Production Guild UK, this event is your opportunity to connect with the people shaping production in the South West.
As one of the UK’s leading production hubs outside London, the South West is home to a thriving screen industry, with outstanding local businesses, talented crew and landmark facilities. Located in the heart of Bristol, Bristol Beacon is an iconic heritage venue that brings together culture, performance, and community in a setting designed for creativity.
We’re bringing together local professionals to meet, share ideas, and strengthen working relationships across the region. From Disney’s Rivals, to Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials to Focus Features’ upcoming gothic horror Werwulf – join us as we support best industry practice whilst celebrating the breadth of film and television work being made across the South West.

From 6:00pm, we’ll gather for a short welcome and introductions, before opening the space for relaxed networking. The Filming in England team will be on hand to welcome you, and we encourage everyone to take a chance, say hello to someone new, and make connections at your own pace.
Live photography will take place during the event.
Videography will also be taking place. Our team may approach you to take part in a short (3–4 question) interview for our social media channels and website about your role in the industry and your experience at the mixer.
Light refreshments and nibbles will be available.
Filming in England is committed to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone attending our events.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour towards staff or fellow attendees. Any concerns raised will be taken seriously and looked into promptly.
If someone is found to be in breach of this policy, they may be asked to leave the event and could be unable to attend future Filming in England events.
We have ran Industry Mixers at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, The Bond in Digbeth, Bristol Cathedral and Imperial War Museum in Greater Manchester. We’ve partnered with Bristol Film Office, Production Central WM, BBC Studioworks and more – plus, we’ve been joined by some fantastic sponsors at our events!
