Hosted at Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham and delivered by Creative England – Filming in England, in partnership with Production Central, BBC Studioworks Digbeth Loc. Studios and with support from Screen Staffordshire and The Production Guild of Great Britain, this event is your chance to connect with the people powering production in the West Midlands.
As one of the UK’s fastest growing production hubs outside London, the West Midlands is home to thriving local businesses and a skilled workforce. From hosting the long-running Silent Witness, and now the home for TV sensation Peaky Blinders, the brand new Digbeth Loc. Studios is a creative powerhouse in the heart of the region, and it’s here that we’ll spotlight the people and businesses driving the screen industry forwards.
Alongside celebrating the new studio we’ll also be shining a light on the newly launched Film Office for the West Midlands Combined authority, Production Central, the region’s dedicated production service agency for industry. The evening will bring together our partners and local professionals to connect, collaborate, and strengthen the region’s creative community. By championing best practice and supporting job creation, we’re proud to celebrate the exceptional content being made in the West Midlands.

Our mixers are relaxed, informal events with no formal structure – just a friendly space to meet others in the industry. The Filming in England team will be on hand to welcome you, and the event will kick off with a few short introductory speeches. We encourage everyone to take a chance, say hello to someone new, and make connections at their own pace.
Please note: Live photography will take place during this event.
There will be live videography taking place at this event and our team may approach you to see if you are interested in taking part in a short interview for our social media channels and website. This may involve answering 3 – 4 short questions about your position within the film and TV industry and your thoughts about the Mixer.
Digbeth Loc. Studios is accessibility friendly, for more info please visit their website here.
