This event is a chance to connect with the people powering production in the South West. Hosted at Bristol Cathedral, and delivered by Creative England – Filming in England, with support from Bristol Film Office, The Bottle Yard Studios and event sponsors Wounded Buffalo Sound Studios and The Production Guild of Great Britain.
In a period of ongoing change for the industry, our networking events provide a valuable opportunity for local networks to connect, build new alliances, and grow stronger together. By promoting job creation and best practice, we celebrate the brilliant content being made in the South West and champion the local talent and businesses that are vital to building a vibrant production hub in the region.
From Disney’s Rivals and BBC’s Dope Girls to Sky’s upcoming Inheritance, the South West continues to host a growing slate of high-profile productions.

What to Expect:
Our mixers are relaxed, informal events with no formal structure – just a friendly space to meet others in the industry. The Filming in England team will be on hand to welcome you, and the event will kick off with a few short introductory speeches. We encourage everyone to take a chance, say hello to someone new, and make connections at their own pace.
Please note: Live photography will take place during this event.
There will be live videography taking place at this event and our team may approach you to see if you are interested in taking part in a short interview for our social media channels and website. This may involve answering 3 – 4 short questions about your position within the film and TV industry and your thoughts about the Mixer.
Filming in England has a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying and harassment of its staff and attendees. We take all complaints seriously and will investigate any allegations thoroughly. Anyone found in breach of this policy will be asked to leave the premises immediately and may be prohibited from attending future Filming in England events.

Their work has been recognised across the industry with 21 Emmy nominations with 7 wins, 18 BAFTA nominations and 3 wins, and 6 MPSE Golden Reel nominations with 3 wins.
We have ran Industry Mixers at the S.S. Great Britain in Bristol, The Bond in Digbeth, Shinfield Studios in Berkshire, Imperial War Museum in Greater Manchester and Sky Studios Elstree in Hertfordshire. We’ve partnered with Bristol Film Office, Film Birmingham, Create Central, Hertfordshire Film Office and Screen Berkshire – and have been joined by some fantastic sponsors at our events.
