Filming in England Connect celebrates and unites the regions’ leading professionals and businesses across the screen industry.
Hosted at Manchester’s ABC Building and delivered by Creative England’s Filming in England, in Partnership with ABC Projects and with support from Bolton Film Office and The Production Guild of Great Britain, this event is your chance to connect with the people powering production in the North West.
As one of the UK’s leading production hubs outside London, the North West is home to a thriving screen industry, with outstanding local businesses and workforce. Located in the heart of Manchester, the ABC Building is a creative powerhouse – home to Quay Street Productions, the company behind major TV hits Fool Me Once, After the Flood (Netflix) and Stolen Girl (Disney+), as well as Home Post Production and Versa Studios – placing attendees at the centre of Manchester’s screen industry, with rooftop views across the city from The Dome.

If you’d like to explore the space ahead of the main event, guided tours of the ABC Building will be running from 5:15pm.
Please note: Tours must be booked separately here.

Networking (from 6:00pm)
The Filming in England team will be on hand to welcome you – we encourage everyone to take a chance, say hello to someone new, and make connections at your own pace.

Live photography will take place during the event.
Videography will also be taking place. Our team may approach you to take part in a short (3–4 question) interview for our social media channels and website about your role in the industry and your experience at the mixer.
Filming in England is committed to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone attending our events.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour towards staff or fellow attendees. Any concerns raised will be taken seriously and looked into promptly.
If someone is found to be in breach of this policy, they may be asked to leave the event and could be unable to attend future Filming in England events.
