This year, our team have been busy supporting productions, helping new crew to pave their way into film and TV, collaborating with partners to ensure England remains a film-friendly nation, and much more!

Take a look at our 2025 round-up below.

Our Production Liaison Team, Charlotte, Chelsea and Harvey, are on hand to support filming from pre-production to post; and this year, we’re pleased to announce that alongside our Film Office and Local Authority Partners we’ve supported over 200 feature film and high-end TV productions!

In 2026, we’re excited to see lots of these productions hit the big screen, including: Wuthering Heights (13th February) MGM’s Masters of the Universe (5th June), Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 2026), Warner Bros.’ Practical Magic (2 September) and Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday (December 2026).

On our TV screens, returning dramas include: ITV’s Red Eye Season 2 (New Years Day), Bridgerton Season 4 (29th January), Silo Season 3, After the Flood Season 2, The Gentleman Season 2, Slow Horses Season 6, Rivals Season 2 and House of the Dragon Season 3.

For new dramas, we can’t wait to see: Run Away (1st January), the BBC’s Lord of the Flies, Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice, BBC’s The Other Bennet Sister and McKenzie for ITV.

Amongst much, much more!

We’ve been on the road a lot this year, setting up in some amazing venues for quarterly Industry Mixer events. Here, we bring film and TV professionals of all experience levels together for a unique evening of networking and celebrating regional talent. This year, we stopped by:

Hot House, Media City in Manchester

Bristol Cathedral in partnership with The Bottle Yard Studios and Bristol Film Office

Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire in partnership with BFI Metro London Skills Cluster, Screen Bucks and Buckinghamshire Film Office

Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham in partnership with Production Central and Screen Staffordshire

Keep an eye on our Events Page for news of next year’s mixers!

This year, our Filming in England Partnership grew by 50 members – making us over 350 members strong! We were delighted to welcome a diverse range of partners into our film-friendly network, including Triple C, Gritty Talent, Production Central, West of England Combined Authority and Tarmac.

Plus, in October we celebrated 5 years of the Filming in England Partnership. To mark the occasion, we launched a new Partnership Directory – a central hub showcasing every partner who makes up our diverse network.

On 5th August, we launched the second edition of our free New Entrant Handbook, refreshed with up-to-date resources for new starters and career changers. We’ve loved sharing this with new entrants, helping to guide their journey in film and TV. Find out more and download your copy here.

Plus, on the 18th September, we released our new Educator’s Guide to Film and TV: a comprehensive PDF resource which equips careers advisors and educators with tools and resources to support their students’ film and TV careers. Click here to download it for free.

This year, our Crew team have been busy supporting a number of varied productions with their crewing needs – sending out crew calls to connect productions with regional behind-the-scenes talent to help bring their visions to life.

We’re proud to have helped crew members gain over 800 job days on set!

This year, publicly launched the new sustainable features on our Studio and Build Space Directory, which allows facilities to spotlight their eco-friendly features and helps productions search for initiatives such as on-site renewable energy, policies and BAFTA albert certification.

Alongside this, our free Nationwide Suppliers Directory allows businesses to showcase green credentials, environmental policy and BAFTA Albert Certification. Check it out here!

Premiered at our Greater Manchester Industry Mixer in Media City, we released a brand new showreel this year. From Mission: Impossible to Bridgerton, House of the Dragon and more, we highlighted the phenomenal film and TV supported by Filming in England and our incredible partners.

In response to the recent rise in productions using WhatsApp groups and word-of-mouth referrals to crew up, our National Crew and Suppliers Manager, Sam Gillie, unpacked informal hiring and why it might mean a step backwards for a diverse film and TV workforce. Find our more in this article.
